European Forum of Deposit Insurance (EFDI):
Public Institution “Deposit and Investment Insurance” (the Company) actively participates in international cooperation activities among deposit guarantee and investor compensation institutions. The Company is a full member of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI).
Established in 2002, EFDI is an international non-profit association that brings together 71 member institutions, including 56 Deposit Guarantee Schemes (DGSs) and 15 Investor Compensation Schemes (ICSs) from 50 jurisdictions across Europe. The Company became a full member of EFDI in 2004 and has since actively participated in its annual general meetings, conferences, workshops, and other professional events.
EFDI’s primary objective is to contribute to the stability of financial systems by promoting cooperation among European deposit guarantee and investor compensation schemes. The association facilitates the exchange of expertise, experience, and best practices among its members and supports the development of effective depositor and investor protection frameworks. EFDI also contributes to discussions on financial stability, crisis management, deposit guarantee schemes, investor compensation systems, and bank resolution policies at the European level.
EFDI maintains close working relationships with key European and international institutions involved in financial stability and financial sector regulation, including the European Commission, the European Central Bank, the European Banking Authority, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the International Association of Deposit Insurers. Through these partnerships, EFDI contributes to the development and refinement of regulatory and policy frameworks aimed at enhancing financial stability and depositor protection across Europe.
International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI):
The Company actively participates in the activities of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), an international organization established in 2002 that currently brings together 108 member organizations worldwide.
The Company maintains professional relations and cooperates with 35 deposit guarantee and investor compensation institutions across 33 countries, including 26 institutions in Europe, 4 in Asia, 3 in South America, and 2 in North America, facilitating the exchange of information and best practices in the field of depositor and investor protection.
