On 6 February, 2018 the Deposit Guarantee Scheme made 10,56 million EUR available for total of 1000 depositors via paying agent bank UAB Medicinos bankas.

  • 20 September, 2016 the credit union “Amber” was declared insolvent by the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, and had its license revoked. On 29 September, 2016 the Deposit Guarantee Scheme made €19,97m available for total of 989 depositors via paying agent bank UAB Medicinos bankas.
  • 30 April, 2014 the credit union „Naftininkų investicijos“ was declared insolvent by the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, and had its license revoked. On 20 May the Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS) made €11,8m available for a total of 220 depositors via paying agent bank „Citadele”.

  • 2011, 24 November Bank of Lithuania withdrew AB Bankas SNORAS license. On December 14, 2011 DGS commenced disbursement of insurance compensations. By 31 July, 2012 DIF has made available a total of LTL 4,04bn in insurance compensations to the depositors of the failed bank. Over 210 000 depositors have claimed a total of LTL 3,98bn of insurance compensations by 31 December, 2012.
  • 1999, 13 September activities of „Litimpeks” bank were suspended. The Deposit Insurance Fund (DIF) processed customer data supplied by the „Litimpeks” bank, prepared lists of depositors and calculated insurance compensations. On 1 December a total of LTL 14.59m in deposit insurance compensations was made available for 4 665 depositors by opening current accounts in Lithuanian Agriculture Bank for the depositors of the failed bank.
  • 1997, 8 July bankruptcy proceedings were initiated against „Tauras” bank. On 1 December a total of LTL 4.28m in deposit insurance compensations was made available for 1 645 depositors by DIF opening current accounts in Savings Bank of Lithuania for the depositors of the failed bank.
